Walk-A-Mile
In-My-Shoes
“Walk a Mile in My Shoes” represents the hardship that many Veterans face: self-defeating thoughts, abandonment, and isolation can lead individuals to substance usage and mental health challenges. When left unresolved, these struggles can result in homelessness and suicide. With each step, we will continue that fight to help heal our service members.

About
The last two years, our Walk-A-Mile event has been a 56-Mile, 22-hour non-stop walk from Kingston to Albany NY. As our participation level has grown, this year for the safety of our walkers, our third Annual walk will be a 22-Miles, 8-hour non-stop walk from Highland to Kingston. Beginning at Apple Greens Golf Course and ending at The Hudson Valley Nation Center for Veteran Reintegration (HVNCVR) Office, each continued step and every minute signify the ongoing battles that Veterans face day-to-day.
